Triage Coordinator

Summary

If you have experience handling biological lab specimens and prepping samples for delivery to a clinical laboratory; learn how you can play a key role as Laboratory Assistant for our client which is dedicated exclusively to central laboratory testing and the associate services for clinical trials.    

Responsibilities

•         The Triage Coordinator will assist with retrieval and set up of samples for analysis by receiving samples from Sample Management

•         Segregate and distribute samples to the lab as per standard operating procedure. 

•         Monitors, receives and outsources shipments and ensures that all samples are tracked and accounted for

•         Troubleshoot extra samples and notify shipping facility of any discrepancies

•         Assists with the preparation of samples for testing, retrieve/return samples from long-term storage to laboratory for testing upon request and collate and transfer samples for long term storage.

•         Relabeling, Uncapping, and Recapping of samples, assist with Inventory logs and counts, and manage queries from Client Services regarding Add-On Testing and identify the proper sample.

 Requirements

•         High School Diploma

•         1 year of related experience in a Clinical Laboratory.

•         Basic working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office

•         Excellent written/verbal communication skills

•         Demonstrated ability to keep accurate, legible records and recognize the need to handle these records and all other information in line with GCP/GLP/GDP.
