Job Description

Apex Life Sciences is searching for a qualified Supply Chain Associate to work at an exciting pharma company in the greater LA area!


  • Order Management and Processing for non-clinical orders originating from multiple facilities to multiple destinations domestically and globally
  • Liaison and point of contact to various stakeholders and internal customers providing notifications, confirmations, status updates in a fast pace and dynamic environment
  • Coordinate and schedule transportation for cold chain shipments
  • Generate reports to provide status of daily, weekly and bi-weekly orders planned and shipped to various stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Proactively trouble shoot, problem solve and mitigate risks or prevent issues
  • Collaborate with our Contract Manufacturing Facilities (CMO) or Depot partners to improve upon Raw Material or Intermediates Distribution Processes for effectiveness and efficiencies
  • Generate, track and ensure timely closure of Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR’s) to CMO’s or Transportation providers partnering with Supplier Quality
  • Support Logistics KPI’s/ Metrics weekly/bi-weekly/monthly generation and report outs
  • Enter Procurement Requisitions (PR’s) & Orders (PO’s) and follow-up to ensure approved on time
  • Handle PR’s & PO’s inquiries and provide KPI’s on status
  • Miscellaneous support of Supply Chain Operations to ensure deliverables met as required

Skills and Abilities

  • Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to follow instructions and work autonomously
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Basic mathematical computation skills
  • Proficient or above Microsoft Suite skills -e.g. Excel and PowerPoint at minimum
  • Working in a flexible, fast-pace and dynamic environment

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Biology, Chemistry, or Engineering
  • 2 or more years of related experience is preferred (work or schooling)
  • cGMP & cGDP environment
  • Supply Chain experience is strongly preferred
  • Experience with ERP system is strongly preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Work is generally performed in an Office environment at an Aseptic Manufacturing Facility
  • Subject to extended periods of sitting, walking or standing
  • The position requires a combination of sedentary work and walking around to interact with stakeholders and onsite warehouse/distribution personnel
