A well-regarded company focusing on patient therapies is seeking a Supervisor, Materials Management to join their team. This is a great opportunity to work for an industry leader!

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Supervise the on-the-floor operations of our cGMP commercial facility including receiving, shipping, and kitting.
  • Oversee cycle count process to ensure accuracy and control of inventory volumes
  • Build a team, provide necessary training and ongoing coaching, discipline and recognition of direct staff, including performing annual performance reviews
  • Coordinates the daily activities with staff to ensure that all tasks are completed and compliant with applicable procedures.
  • Manage disposition of GMP Raw materials
  • Understands and implements safety procedures and GMP’s
  • Assist the Materials Manager in establishing or updating standard operating procedures (SOP’s) as required and process controls to obtain and maintain an efficient and effective department.
  • Investigate and resolve problems, identifying root cause, and proposing process improvements through clear communication to senior management.
  • Attends, participates and contributes during team meetings in the absence of the Materials Manager.
  • Take corrective action to bring about required changes using change control procedures
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or related discipline or equivalent experience; 2 years of experience supervising staff
  • At least 5 years of relevant supply chain or warehouse management at a pharmaceutical or biotech company
  • Able to build and lead a team as well as train entry-level personnel
  • Cold chain knowledge and experience in a pharmaceutical or medical setting
  • Must be able to operate equipment such as a forklift and an electric pallet jack and drive a box refrigerated truck between sites (CDL not required)
  • Knowledgeable of the current Code of the Federal Regulations (CFR's) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's)
  • Must be able to work on off shift hours as well as part of the on-call rotation as needed is required; weekend shift likely
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are essential in this collaborative work environment
  • High energy level and a positive outlook coupled with the requisite “can do” attitude and a willingness to do what it takes to achieve personal and organizational goals and overcome obstacles
  • Ability to adapt in a constantly evolving environment
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership in areas of responsibility
