Job Description


Technical Writer II 

Hours: 8-5 but is slightly flexible 7:30-4:30: M-F 

Job Duties: 
Writes, rewrites and/or edits technical documents such as technical procedure manuals, user manuals, programming manuals, service manuals, operational specifications, and related technical publications to communicate clearly and effectively technical specifications and instructions to a wide range of audiences.

Acquires subject knowledge by interviewing product developers, observing performance of production methods, referring to technical specifications, blueprints, engineering illustrations, and trade journals.

Oversees preparation of illustrative materials, selecting drawings, sketches, diagrams and charts. Conducts quality review of materials. 

Required Exp: 

Familiarity with SOP's, Work Instructions, PM's and Trouble Shooting Guides 

Able to work with Engineering and Technicians to collect information in a Manufacturing Setting 

Familiar with quality document management system (ETQ) 

Required Associate degree or greater in Communications or related technical field. 

Required: 2 years minimum relevant experience with Manufacturing or Industrial Environment Industries.
