Scope of Position:

  • Develop and lead plan for improving facilities reliability, efficiency, and cost effectiveness
  • Develop and manage multi-year equipment upgrade/replacement plan
  • Coordinate lab modifications and upgrades
  • Develop and manage the preventative maintenance program for all Lab support equipment: HVAC system, compressed air systems, plumbing, power distribution, etc.
  • Coordinate projects with outside vendors and contractors supporting the Lab

Day Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and provide sound direction for building utilities in offices and labs (water, electricity, HVAC, Compressed air, plumbing
  • Engage with, participate in and lead by example safety programs and initiatives Become familiar with process and facility system
  • Maintain regulatory requirements (e.g. ISO14001) and requisite permits
  • Manage hazardous waste disposal
  • Assist to establish project plans (scopes, schedule, cost estimates, procurement/contracting strategy, project acceptance criteria, etc.)
  • Coordinate all contractors
  • Provide project management for key facilities projects
  • Ensure compliance with external regulatory and internal company policies
  • Hours of work/work schedule:
  • M-F, typically 40 hours per week

Required Education and Experience:

  • BSME from accredited school
  • Minimum 1-3 years experience in facilities project management and working with subcontractors for general building maintenance and repair
  • Supervisory experience a bonus

Manager Much Haves:
