Apex Life Sciences is searching for a Shipping & Receiving Technician for an established aerospace company in the greater LA area!


  • Responsible for managing materials and finished product in all phases of handling, storing, packaging and distribution.
  • Interfaces with management, vendors, and customers to ensure appropriate receiving, handling and shipment of materials and finished goods. 

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Maintain inventory accuracy and control of material stores including finished goods and raw materials 
  • Package, stage and ship finished goods. When necessary, expedite critical shipments 
  • Assist with cycle counting 
  • Responsible for the flow and movement of materials to and from the factory 
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement daily by your actions 
  • Take the initiative to resolve materials related issues with interaction from supervisor/Manager 
  • Perform other tasks as needed in support of manufacturing operations, customers and suppliers 
  • Comply with all EHS rules and regulations and supervisory instructions. Report all incidents including injuries, spills, fires, property damage, and near misses to their supervisor 
  • Able to work with minimum or no supervision 

EducationExperience and Background:

  • High school diploma or GED 
  • 1+ years’ experience related to materials and/or shipping/receiving in a manufacturing environment 
  • Ability to use electric weight scales 
  • Must be able to lift/move 30 lbs (may not exceed per EHS policies) 
  • Forklift experience preferred 
  • Understanding of internal computer tracking and reporting systems 
  • Demonstrated commitment to employee involvement, teamwork, and continuous improvement 
  • Must be able to work OT during the week and weekend to meet department/facility goals 
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time 
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand English
