Job Description

BASIC FUNCTION:    Responsible for 1st level support of end-users in Region Americas. Assist where needed in basic system administration and in the communication between US and LATAM IT support, LATAM plant management, and end users.


  Provides  end-user  support  through  the  Attend  ticketing  system  for  commonly used  desktop  systems  applications  like  Microsoft  Office,  PC  hardware  and peripherals, Windows 7 Operating System, according to the specifications from Group ITS.

  Coordinates  user  account  creation  and  deletion  requests  with  appropriate


  Identifies problems, troubleshoots and provides advice to assist end users.

  On occasion assists network  administrators with special projects such as end user software upgrades.

  Coordinates with local network administrators or competency centers to resolve

problems if necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:    A two or four degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, as well as  2-4  years  of  working  experience  within  a  corporate  IT  environment,  or  equivalent combination  of  education,  training  and  experience  is  required.  Must  possess  strong customer service and  troubleshooting skills for end  users as  well as ability to  prioritize tasks and provide excellent customer service. Must possess solid knowledge of standard IT equipment desktop hardware and applications, including Lotus Notes, as well as LAN components  and  peripherals.  Previous  experience  assisting  with  IT  infrastructures  and end  users  in  multiple  locations  is  strongly  preferred.  Must  possess  both  written  and spoken fluency in English and Spanish; fluency in Portuguese is a bonus.  Must be able to travel across Region Americas as needed.
