Apex Life Sciences is looking for a Sanitation Supervisor candidate for a leading and growing Nutraceutical Company in the Dallas /Fort Worth area.  

Job Description of Sanitation Supervisor Position:

  • Train and supervise assigned employees and evaluates job performance of those employees.
  • Assist the Quality Control Manager by documenting work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow.
  • Act as liaison between the Quality Assurance Manager, Quality Control Manager, Production Manager, and area supervisor
  • Work with managers to assist in developing the skills of QC specialists and Production staff.
  • Lead all staff in maintaining a safe working environment which complies with OSHA standards.
  • Act as the designated Sanitation Supervisor, monitors and reports on employee’s accountability in areas of safety, quality, sanitation, and on the job training.
  • Assist with all domestic and international regulatory and compliance issues including but not limited to, product registrations, licenses, custom formulations and batch samples.
  • Assist with company audits including Health Department, FDA, TDSHS, USDA and any other agency requiring compliance to SOPs.
  • Build a process to ensure that there is a robust method for best practice reapplication.
  • Performs sensory evaluations for in-process materials.
  • Investigate customer complaints/Adverse Events (CC/AE) by scheduling review of batch records, product testing, etc. and recommend appropriate responses.
  • Investigate product holds and determine immediate dispositions.
  • Maintain Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR’s) and Master Manufacturing Records (MMR’s)
  • Maintain Document and Data Control process and database; maintain Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) process and logs.
  • Ensure raw materials, components, packaging materials and sanitation chemicals are from approved suppliers.
  • Responsible for communicating and assisting in the preventive and predictive maintenance; ensures there is consistency and standardization in production.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent years’ related experience required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of related experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ supervisory/management experience required.
