Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and experienced researcher to join our in vivo pharmacology group.  The individual will execute in vivo efficacy and PK/PD studies in support the drug development programs.  Reports to the In vivo Pharmacology group leader and collaborates extensively with DMPK and Biology teams.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on proficiency in handling rodents and administrating drug therapeutics via various routes (e.g. IV, IP, PO, SQ)
  • Hands-on proficiency in tumor implantation and measuring (e.g. caliper measurements and bio-luminescence imaging)
  • Collection of blood (tail nick, retro-orbital and cardiac puncture), tumor tissue and organ samples for analysis
  • Experience with formulations and dosing solution preparation is desired
  • Experience with ex vivo assays (e.g. qPCR, western blot) and immunohistochemistry is desired
  • Collect and record measurements and clinical observations, analyze data from multiple studies in a timely manner
  • Proficiency in in vitro cell culture, scale-up for implantation, cell banking and maintenance of frozen stocks 
  • Analysis of experimental data using MS Office, PRISM or comparable software
  • Familiar with development and characterization of mouse models of cancer
  • BS in Biology, Pharmacology or related discipline
  • 3+ years of experience in conducting in vivo pharmacology studies using mouse models of cancer
  • Familiarity with the regulatory requirements to remain compliant with IACUS and AALAC regulations.
  • Ability to maintain proper scientific documentation associated with pharmacology studies.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Highly collaborative, self-driven and detail-oriented individual
