Job Description


Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive technical support for projects related to gene expression regulation in neurons by non-coding RNAs.
  • Assisting with experimental design; performing experiments involving mammalian cell culture, including mouse embryonic stem cells and mouse neurons; performing experiments using standard molecular cell biology techniques, including bacterial cloning, genetic engineering, flow cytometry, and high-throughput sequencing
  • Collecting and recording data from experiments. Processing, organizing, and summarizing data.
  • Perform tasks related to the research project independently, but will be subject to review by supervisor. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, or related field.
  • 2+ years in a lab setting performing techniques such as cell culture, cloning, flow cytometry, etc. (Academic experience considered)
  • Solid problem solving skills; attention to detail; excellent organizational skills
  • Self-motivation and a commitment to producing high quality work
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability work both independently and as part of a team
