Job Description


Seeking a Senior R&D Engineer with 6+ years’ experience in the medical device industry. This position is in the Sustaining Group and requires extensive design experience (Solidworks), data analysis, troubleshooting, and quality. Responsibilities:

  • Researches, analyses and implements changes required in order of Safety, Quality, Service, Cost priority
  • Conducts feasibility studies to verify capability and functionality of processes
  • Directs support personnel and coordinates project activities
  • Maintains detailed documentation throughout all phases of projects
  • Investigates and evaluates existing processes, and designs
  • Interfaces with Quality to integrate new products (inch ups) or processes into the existing manufacturing area

Specific Requirements:

  • Use engineering principles and writing skills to develop supporting rationales for documents by leveraging dimensional analysis testing other objective evidence
  • Documents written will include analysis of data in existing technical reports to support verification of previously articulated system and subsystem medical device design requirements

Quality Systems Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.

Education/Experience/Skills required to successfully perform the above duties/tasks:

  • 4 year engineering degree
  • 6-7 years R&D experience
  • Experience in medical industry is essential
