Job Description


Summary:

  • Ensures correct components and materials are used in the line; line set-up, line release, and batch clearance are executed in accordance to company standard.
  • Responsible for ensuring that released finished goods from the line meet the established

Responsibilities:

  • Verify components, bulk, and labels used in the line are approved for use and meet established specifications.
  • Conduct the required checks and verifications on production lines to ensure quality of products is consistent and meets established specifications and standards.

  • Document line inspection results on appropriate forms and logs and follow Good Documentation Practices.

  • Provide target, and minimum/maximum fill weight to Production Line.

  • Perform inspection utilizing ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 Sampling Plan.
  • Read and understand standards and inspection plans to ensure material compliance.

  • Utilize calipers, torque meter and other testing equipment as required

  • Perform dimensional, visual and functional inspection of various plastic, glass, corrugated, liquid and printed items.

  • Document and communicate out-of-spec (OOS) results or discrepancies observed to Manager.

  • Pull line samples for retains and testing, submit samples to 3rd party testing

  • Inspect incoming components, labels & bulk as per defined criteria. 

  • Identify non-conformance issues and complete inspection reports.

  • Maintain and update finished goods standards as needed.

  • File & update QC documents related to raw material, bulk, label, component & finished product.

  • Maintain good housekeeping and safety in the laboratory and/or work station.

  • Perform other related tasks as requested by the department manager.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Cosmetic/Dietary supplements or Pharmaceutical industries in Quality.
  • Attention to detail
  • Knowledge of ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 Sampling Procedure
  • Motivated and work well with others. 
  • Ability to multi-task, motivated and has a take charge attitude. 
  • Knowledge of cGMP, GDP, FDA and NOP regulations.
  • Knowledge of instrumentation usage such as viscometer, pH meter, caliper, torque meter etc. 
  • Must have good organizational and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to set own priorities based on operations schedule and deadlines.
  • Microsoft office, internet, and email application skills.
