Job Summary

Responsible for performing quality work in a timely manner, ensuring that the laboratory meets specified requirements, and for keeping laboratory testing up to date.  Overtime as required by supervisor.



Specific Duties & Responsibilities

Essential Duties

  • Analyze samples of manufactured products, following approved laboratory testing procedures.
  • Maintain computerized database and analysis results.
  • Identify problems, issues, and concerns.  Notify appropriate personnel and provide suggestions and countermeasures to the Quality Lab Supervisor.
  • Create product labels and distribute as required once in-process quality testing is complete.
  • Provide training in quality testing methods and techniques.
  • Ensure testing equipment is functioning and calibrated.
  • Assist the Quality Lab Supervisor in managing and maintaining Quality Laboratory Safety and Environmental activities.
  • Other duties as required to operate a successful, organized Quality Laboratory.
  • This position is also required to perform other related duties as assigned by the Quality Lab Supervisor or Director of Manufacturing.


Education & Experience Requirements

Associates Degree in Chemistry related field, or equivalent work experience.  Good language, math, and reasoning skills.  Ability to work independently with limited supervision.  Proficient with Microsoft software products.  Must demonstrate good technical aptitude, and ability to learn operation of complicated laboratory equipment.



Schedule

“Floater Schedule”: MON-FRI 11AM-7:30PM; OT is required but only occasionally on SAT and SUN
