Description:

This position is in support of the Strongsville Oracle conversion project and is necessary to implement a new Quality Tool in the QC department to a more effective electronic system that will allow all steps in the QC process from approving raw materials to dispositioning finished goods. Continuous flow without any loss in productivity is needed for Oracle based operations to function properly.

  • Contribute and assist QC technicians to enter raw material COA data in the QT for approving raw materials for use in production in a 24/7 operation.
  • Identify and communicate raw material supplier non conformance's and assist to assign root cause and corrective action. Work with Corporate Purchasing to log in CAIRs to arrive at solutions for non-conformance's in an attempt to minimize bottle necks during the receiving process.
  • Assist with batch preparation, including verifying specifications, revision of recipes and printing retain labels.
  • Learn and understand current powder QC testing processes to help assist QC technicians enter test result data into the QT, enter Oracle transactions for finished goods inventory of approved and rejected material.
  • Print and deliver rework or work-off labels to production line along with AVOs.
  • Assist QC technicians with QT Adjustments in order to correct material that is out of spec or out of control.
  • Identify processes that are out of control, specifically KPCs (key product characteristics) for automotive powders to leverage better process control by utilizing the QTs SPC capability.
  • Assist in the authoring of QT procedures and work instructions that are specifically aimed on the unique processes of powder manufacture and QC process.
  • Provide additional support in QC as needed for troubleshooting issues, line startups or while more than 4 production lines are running simultaneously.
  • Assist with product holds to maintain data integrity in database specifications by identifying mismatches in QT data with physical data, ie standard panels, substrates, panel preparation, etc. and work with Technical and other associates to rectify issues.
  • Assist with end of shift responsibilities of reconciling of all produced product in Oracle.
  • Provide other support as need for successful implementation of Oracle.
