Quality Assurance Associate

Responsibility

  • Responsible for the quality and safety of flavors and extracts.
  • To monitor the quality of incoming raw materials, incoming packaging materials, intermediates and finished goods.
  • Conduct weekly or more frequent inspection in production and warehouse to ensure compliance with FSSC 22000, GMP and HACCP requirements.
  • Coordinate with commercial department to prepare related technical and shipping documents, pertaining to customer complaint or be responsible for any product recall case.
  • Responsible to send samples for different analytical test by independent laboratory.
  • Conduct shelf life/stability test for flavor product.
  • As a Food Safety team member, ensure implementation and maintenance of food safety requirements.
  • Schedule pickups, call the lab for samples, compile data
  • To be involved as internal auditor for company internal audit as an assistant
  • To conduct raw material study request for substitution of existing raw material.
  • Act on sensory panel in approving the quality of the samples, raw material and finish product.
  • Conduct shipment check and schedule pickups

Authority

  • Taking on some of the manager's responsibilities and working more closely with management;
  • Being involved in the decision-making process.

Competency

Educational Level and Working Experience 

  • Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or Microbiology preferred
  • Experience in quality control, or analytical laboratories
  • Ability to liaise with related government agencies and certificate control
  • Must possess strong strategic planning and project management capabilities
  • Microsoft Suite

PLUS: Microsoft Visio

Talent/Skill

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently.
