Job Description

Currently seeking an experienced Technician in the Food & Beverage Industry.  Ideal candidate will be flexible to work both 2nd and 3rd shift.  Please contact Tyler Booth (704.332.5443) or Cassie Miller (216-378-0867)

Primary Accountabilities:
In accordance with established Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), and company safety and recycling guidelines, perform the following tasks:
Operate, maintain and interpret the results of the following: Orion Titrator, Lab Data System, Spectronic 21
Calibrate, troubleshoot and adjust the following equipment: Density Meters, Spectrophotometer, LAN II Brix and CO2 Monitors, PH meters, Pressure Transducers, Conductivity Meter, Orion 960, Scales, Glucose Meter, Booster Pump, CTC Screens, Lab and Water Treatment Equipment
Prepare, perform, and record result of the following tests:

• Density Level- syrup & product

• Code Verification

• Phosphoric Acid Assay

• Raw Materials

• Leak Tests/Seam Tests

• Water Microbiological Tests

• Citric Acid Assay

• Filtec (can lne)

• “Hold” Product

• Net content by volume
Prepare equipment standards for the following:

• Spec 21 (phosphoric acid assay)

• Citric Acid Assay

• Sucrose
Perform the following administrative tasks:

• Enter test results on lab data system and initiate reorders.

• Maintain testing log.

• Physically inventory all lab chemicals and intiate reorders.

• Submit product and water samples to parent company’s QA department.

• Perform additional job related tasks and special projects as directed.

• Provide vacation relief for Lab Techs and Blenders on all shifts.

• Changeover totes and tanks.

• Communicate operating information and concerns to personnel on other shifts and in other departments.

• Participate in team meetings to evaluate and investigate process improvement opportunities impacting team performance.

• Perform other tasks identified by the team to ensure that the team’s goals are achieved.

• Maintain a clean and orderly work area throughout the shift.

• Maintain constant flow of proper syrup to all production lines.

Accountabilities and Expectations Lab Technician

• Produce distilled water as needed.

•Required Skills & Training (Licenses, Certifications, Experience):

•Knowledge of basic science and laboratory test equipment.

•Typing, filing and computer skills, including familiarity with Windows 95.

•Basic math and writing skills.

•Strong team communication and problem solving skills.

Desired Skills and Training:

•High School Diploma or equivalent.

•Minimum (1) year college science or equivalent experience preferred.
