Apex Life Sciences is looking for a Quality Assurance Technician!

Perform daily analytical testing, monitoring and verification of products and procedures to ensure consistent quality specification are met.

  • Daily monitoring and verification of activities directly correlating to HACCP and Food Safety requirements.
  • Collection of data, analysis of trends and determination of Corrective and Preventive Actions
  • Accomplishes quality and regulatory tracking and results by independently gathering data, giving feedback and making decisions based on expectations.
  • Accountability for follow up to observe if CAPA solutions are working.
  • Responsible for analytical testing, process improvement ideas, lean manufacturing oriented and have familiarity with GMP/regulatory requirements
  • Ensures accurate production set up and continuous monitoring for quality standardization.
  • Attends production and quality meetings to provide information to deliver results on an as needed basis.
  • Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing quality and regulatory standards.
  • Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control and implementing change.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Follow GMP rules while in a designated GMP area
  • Uphold the integrity of the SQF system and Food Safety Policy.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in similar field
  • 2 years of quality and regulatory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of SQF is an asset
  • Proactive problem solver who works well with team and is solution-oriented
  • Intermediate MS Office, Excel and Word skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to work independently
  • Tracking and trending data
  • Risk Analysis
  • Root Cause Analysis
