Position: QA Documentation/Process Specialist

Location: Indianapolis, IN.

Hours: 1st shift, 8-5 (Monday-Friday)


Apex Life Sciences is searching for a QA Documentation/Process Specialist for a rapidly growing company in the personal goods industry. This is a full time Contract to Hire opportunity. This position will require oversight and administration of the process elements of client’s existing SOP program. In addition to working on/monitoring existing SOPs, the holder of this position will assist in developing and implementing new SOPs as required.


  • The primary responsibility of this position will be continuous implementation of SOPs, ensuring that all SOPs are followed and actions documented.
  • Assist in developing and implementing goals, objectives, policies, procedures and systems pertaining to the Quality Program, so consisting of both QC and QA duties.
  • Be efficient with ISO standards ISO 22716 and ISO 9001 to be able to assist with audits and the agency communication that comes with these certifications
  • Develop and and implement new SOPs as identified as requirements for the ISO certification
  • Managing training records, the QMS program, measuring KPI's and other metrics as necessary. 

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • B.S. or B.A. in related field
  • This is both a paperwork and industry standards focused position with possibility to expand into QC responsibilities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • High proficiency with Excel, Word, etc. is required.
  • Frequent presence on the production floor and warehouse is required; an individual who prefers primarily office or laboratory work will not succeed.
  • No defined years of experience are necessary, but the successful candidate should have hands-on experience with quality and manufacturing SOPs
  • Experience in ISO certified facilities is a plus, specifically experience with ISO 9001 and ISO 22716
