Job Description

Apex Life Sciences is seeking a Project Manager to manage project information to support project-related decision making by project teams, Life Cycle Teams and Life Cycle Committees.


  • Manages project information to support project teams, LCTs and LCC decision making in collaboration with PMO leadership.
  • Responsible for tactical coordination of timelines/budgets for all projects and functions within a Life Cycle Team
  • Manages execution of cross-functional plans and track of progress of activities
  • Ensures integrated resource and budget planning;
  • Identifies gaps, potential bottlenecks or delays and challenge assumptions;
  • Oversees risk management including critical path, risk assessment, scenario creation and analysis;
  • Proposes options to close gaps and get projects back on schedule;
  • Serves as single point of control for project data (collect from functions/finance; owns version management and release of changes)
  • Compiles and communicates project reports.
  • Guides team processes, ensuring consistency, transparency and optimization.
  • Implements / pulls in best practices to project teams; fosters continuous improvement by ensuring knowledge, experience exchange.
  • Guides and manages preparation for project milestone reviews.
  • Defines, measures and reports key performance indicators for assigned projects, enabling teams and functions to measure and improve quality, efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manages meetings to include setting agendas, organizing meeting time and editing meeting minutes.
  • Miscellaneous duties and special projects as assigned.


  • BS/BA in science, engineering or business administration or related required
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Life Sciences or Engineering/Technical field of study preferred.
  • Specific Project Management training and/or certification preferred.
  • 3 years project management, product development and/or relevant experience .
  • Experience in research & development preferred.
  • Previous experience with standard project management process (PMI) desired.
  • Successful problem solving skills and ability to coordinate project related activities.
  • Good Written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Project.
  • Meeting facilitation skills.
  • Ability to manage projects with activity/milestone achievement to launch the product.
  • Understanding of the Diagnostic Design Control process
