Job Description


Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the creation and updates of QAD manufacturing procedures.
  • Route new and revised procedures for internal certification.
  • Externalize procedures and specs to clients where applicable
  • Assist the Specifications Coordinator in the issuance of specifications for raw materials, finished products, stability, and bulk specifications.
  • Assist in forward raw material standards to QA.
  • Assist the Change Control Specialist in the implementation of approved change controls.
  • Specific duties include ensuring updates to QAD formulas are made, specifications are revised and/or created, Bulk or Raw QAD product structure is updated in QAD & ensure that stability & validation is initiated on updated formulas as needed.
  • Coordinate the timing of the above listed changes to avoid disruption to planned & agreed upon production.
  • Manage development project files.
  • Assist in the conversion of project files to Master Files (approved formulas).
  • Responsible for maintaining active and inactive master files (hard copies as well as electronic files).
  • Order office supplies for the lab.
  • Assist in miscellaneous task as required/requested by the Formula Control Group Supervisor.

Requirements:

  1. A combination of education and experience in a cosmetics lab/industry preferred.
  2. Experience with cosmetic formulas and raw materials.
  3. Must be able to interact and communicate effectively with internal and external customers to provide information and resolve issues.
  4. English oral & written communication skills.
  5. Knowledge of computer programs (e.g. Excel, Word, Visio, Optiva/PLM systems).
  6. Ability to work on a variety of simultaneous projects to meet established timelines, and maintaining appropriate prioritization.
  7. Must be extremely detail oriented, organized and have the ability to conduct research and investigations independently using self-learning to understand new concepts.
