Job Description

Purpose of the Job

  • Maximizing the benefits to the business, by facilitating color related projects to be resourced and completed in a timely manner
  • Servicing the Chromascan Operation and providing color assistance in North America, Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean from a technology basis
  • Collaborate with RD&I 
  • Complete short & long term projects 
  • Represent Team on cross-functional team

Essential Functions:

  • Participate and contribute in Health & Safety, Security and Environmental activities 

  • Build color databases, corresponding templates & project queues
  • Manage Technicians’ project workload
  • Adequately communicate and report results and color information to both technical and non-technical personnel (project team members or others)
  • Provide color knowledge and advice to “non Chromascan” projects
  • Color evaluation of development products (Chromascan, manufactured, and value engineered – collaborative effort with RD&I)



  • Essential Wet Chemistry Laboratory skills 

  • Practical Paint and / or Color technology desirable

  • Able to use Microsoft Access and Excel


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Science


  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic attitude
  • Strong sense of Safety & Hazard Awareness
  • Working knowledge of Color Technology including color matching of paints
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Computer knowledge, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook and Customer color packages (Datacolor)
  • Strong communication skills, Excellent people and team skills
  • Ability to communicate to multi levels and functions including customers, project teams, management, and stakeholders
  • Ability to Learn 

Working Conditions 

  • Office and laboratory when on Houston site
  • Travel* to warehouses, factories and distributors
