Clinical Program Director

We have permanent opportunity at one of the nation’s leading hospitals in Washington, DC as a Clinical Program Director!

Position Summary:

As a Clinical Program Director, you will provide coordination, leadership, and oversight with research staff, clinical teams, and Principal Investigators.  The Clinical Program

Director will be responsible for operational support required to successfully implement a new program for pediatric patients on allergy, immunology and infectious disease protocols.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Main consultant and oversight manager for new partnership
  • Collaborating with all members of partnership to operationalize the program
  • Resolve/correct any issues potentially impacting program success at all levels of operations
  • Responsible for the implementation of all management and operational activities related to program
  • Monitor and report progress on a periodic basis to ensure accountability and attainment of defined special project goals
  • Leadership for management and coordination of the partnership.


  • Minimum of 4 years in clinical research
  • Mastery and advanced knowledge of clinical research support
  • Advanced knowledge of and expertise in clinical research theory, principles, concepts, and methods
  • 2+ years of people management within clinical trials
  • Knowledge of pediatrics and pediatric research methods
  • Advanced program management experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
