Job Description

Primary Job Function:

Contribute to the design of new products, including developing CAD models, drawings,

and specifications.

Contribute to manufacturing process development, working with manufacturing and

quality engineers

Build and troubleshoot prototype devices.

Design and run experiments to evaluate design alternatives.

Compile test data and develop reports to summarize your findings.

Identify and follow applicable international standards and regulatory guidance.

Develop design documentation, participate in design reviews, and contribute to the

product's Design History File (DHF) and Device Master Record (DMR).

Qualifications: BS or MS in Engineering (Biomedical, Industrial, Electrical, or Mechanical preferred), with 3+ years of experience designing products. Medical device design experience is a plus, but not required.

Skills: The ideal candidate would possess many of the following skills and would be excited to learn the rest:

Developing 3D CAD models and drawings with SolidWorks or similar CAD tools

Designing components for injection molding

Building prototypes and working with rapid prototyping tools such as 3D printers or laser cutters

Familiarity with common manufacturing processes

Designing and executing experiments

Experience developing design documentation

Strong work ethic and time management skills

Able to work both individually and in a team environment

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
