Job Description


This role is responsible for the site's Power, Control and Information Systems (PC&IS) Engineering section, and leads the Digitization of work processes as the Site Digital Champion.

This Plant has some of the newest global equipment platform: the
Spartacus 2 Global Lead Line for Home and Beauty products. The site is the sole supplier of Hand Dish Washing (HDW) soap for North America through 2020. After that time this plant will close and product production will be transferred to another site. 

Responsibilities: 

?1) Develop and deploy the PC&IS Masterplan for the site’s two key businesses:
Hand Dish Washing detergent (HDW) and Chemicals & Surfactants (C&S) for the next
2 years.

2) Own and manage the PC&IS scope for all Engineering projects executed at the site. This includes product initiatives, equipment upgrades and automation projects.

3) Lead the development and deployment of digital systems and tools to the site. This includes mobile applications, Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Visualization technologies.

4) Manage the Site PC&IS organization in order to continue delivering benchmark
results in Cybersecurity, Project Delivery, Power Systems and IT-OT Systems. Provide PC&IS coaching to both direct reports and to the managers & technicians in Operations.

5) Lead PC&IS portions of site shutdown and decommissioning activities.

Key Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated expertise with PC&IS technologies such as Process Control, Machine Control and Cybersecurity.
  • Must be familiar with Global electrical requirements, EWP and project execution.
  • Experience with IT or computer systems is a plus.

Skills Required:

1) Advanced skills in all PC&IS technologies: PLCs, VFDs, Motion Control, Process
Control, HMI (preferably Wonderware), MAIT. Experience with safety PLCs (Triconex, GuardLogix) and Control Loop Health is a plus.

1) Computer System Validation requirements for FDA regulated products

2) Process safety requirements for electrically classified areas

3) Advanced IT/OT technology management, including Virtualization, Thin Clients, Network Architecture and Cybersecurity

4) Deploying standard software templates for UFM, OPERA, PackML, Universal Pack

5) ABB robotics and PickMaster software
