Job Description


Responsibilities:

  • Join multidisciplinary, highly collaborative discovery teams to facilitate the design and synthesis of chemical libraries in support of small molecule drug discovery programs.
  • Perform incorporation of molecular modeling and informatics in the design of libraries, the procurement of building blocks and validation of the correct chemistry for each chemical library, followed by the processing of samples through to the high throughput purification workflow.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in chemistry, biochemistry or related field with 2+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience or M.S. in chemistry, biochemistry or related field
  • Experience in synthesis, purification and analytical characterization including HPLC, MS, and NMR
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills in a team environment required
  • Ability to mine scientific literature and databases
  • Experience in parallel medicinal chemistry in a pharmaceutical research environment desired
  • Broad experience of parallel chemistry protocol development and optimization *
  • Successful application of advanced chemoinformatics SAR analysis and library design techniques a plus
  • Broad experience with tools such as MS Office, Pipeline Pilot and Spotfire preferred
  • Must also have excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills in a team environment
