Job Description

Apex Life Sciences is seeking an Operations Associate II to work with an awesome pharmaceutical company in Fremont, CA! 


The Operations Associate II performs all the necessary tasks leading to finished products for sale.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist site in NPI for manufacturing scale up.
  • Manufacture products.
  • Assist site management in ensuring compliance lean initiatives and processes.
  • Perform manufacturing service functions including filling, labeling, kit packaging etc.
  • Perform quality control testing on raw materials, WIPS, finished goods.
  • Maintain and perform stability testing.
  • Maintain stock quantities of inventory product.
  • Owns the accountability and responsibility of delivering operation tasks in a timely manner.
  • Prepares and maintains COA for company products.
  • Conducts Q.A. equipment checks.
  • Prepares report related to troubleshooting and CAPA’s.
  • Adheres to department QMP requirements.
  • Demonstrates and promotes the company vision.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Provides cross-functional support to other departments as required.
  • Adheres to site employee health and safety (EHS) requirements.
  • Uses an array of business software applications (e.g., Word Processing, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and company systems).
  • Assists in records management, populating database with collected data.
  • Assists in the development of, SOPs, batch records, and other department documentation.
  • Reviews and processes manufacturing records and documents.

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS in Biology, Chemistry or other science related degree. Additional technical training in many of the essential job function elements may be an acceptable alternative.
  • 1-3 or more years of related experience in a science field.
  • Able to operate common laboratory equipment such as micropipettes. Centrifuge, spectrophotometers, pH meters etc.
  • Willing to learn new skills and be able to work in a team environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be self-motivated and be able to work with minimal supervision.
