*Perform routine and non-routine microbiological lab duties - ordering of reagents and supplies; manufacturing of reagents and media according to the lab SOPs and manufacturers instructions.

*Provide technical support for every aspects of the microbiology laboratory operations as directed by the supervisor.

*Provide technical assistance to scientific staff supporting current commercial products and line extensions.

*Participate in scientific review, investigation and product testing according to the established product development process and quality procedures.

*Draft relevant test methods and prepare study reports and protocol completion summaries.


*Is conversant with aseptic technique and have some prior microbiology lab experiences *Has working knowledge of equipment features and process parameters typical of a microbiology laboratory and proficient in resolving routine problem/issues *Coordinates problem resolution with supervisor and fellow workers as needed *With moderate or no supervision, applies comprehensive understanding of defined productivity goals and objectives *Is skilled in own work area within an microbiological / scientific method or operational process area (e.g., material handling and management, logistics, manufacturing production) *Is able to expand skills and techniques in one skill area / process / method, and maintains appropriate licenses / training / certifications, as needed *Applies knowledge and skills to complete assigned tasks within own area *Work within established SOPs and / or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines *Performs general laboratory duties such as preparing media, reagents and re-stocking supplies, and/or propagating important microbial cultures.

*Performs routine microbiological assays such as USP-based microbiological testing.

*Maintains and subcultures bacterial and fungal cultures, and perform identification based on Gram-stain and morphological characteristics *Uses theoretical knowledge to interpret data and to trouble-shoot experiments.

*Becomes more independent in planning and conducting experiments, and collaborates with scientists from other sections of the R&D organization
