NO PRODUCT DESIGNERS

This is Body Assembly position - applicants must have BA/Tooling experience.

Senior Mechanical Designer for Body Assembly with NX 9 cad skills, with knowledge of FCA (Chrysler) and or GM BOE and MD1 North American standards and specifications. Strong understanding of BA GEO and Fixture Tools for Framing, Bodyside Systems and Sub Assembly.

Experience with auto assembly strategies (i.e. part flow within an assembly plant /  body Shop), vendor coordination (importing Weldguns, End of Arm Tooling, etc.), work in model space and paper space, basic understanding of how a GEO and Respot Systems function.

Check and Modify existing 3D and 2D models for ¿Kits¿ and create new designs for simple and intermediate and complex systems. Able to create and or check Kit Sheet showing before and after.

Strong Knowledge of GEO Stations, Resport lines, Nest / Hand off Tables, End Effectors // End of Tooling, Conveyor systems

Strong Knowledge of product structure and welding practices.

Strong detail stack up and methodology and how it relates to machining and tool stack up.

NX Functions, 3D Modeling Functions, 2D Drafting Functions, Attributes (File & Model)

Know NAAMS Standards.

Know Mechanical Design Sequences / Controls documents to Controls Design, preferred but not required.

Must be able to work both independently and within a team environment.

Minimum 5 years plus of work related skill and Knowledge or experience.

Associate Degree, preferred but not required.

May be required to travel to other Comau Facilities, and customer site to assist in the installation / start-up and final machine acceptance.
