Job Description

Apex Life Sciences is looking for a Materials Management Associate to join our Biotech company located near Cedar Knolls, NJ.

The ideal candidate MUST have at least a year of GMP experience, and 2+ years experience in shipping & receiving.

This is a contract role that can go permanent.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Perform assigned functions related to shipping and receiving, including pallet breakdown, inspection of incoming materials, accurate receipt and accessioning into ERP system, and delivery to designated warehouse location.
  • Examine incoming material and resolved any discrepancies related to shortages or damage.
  • Perform cycle counts on a determined schedule to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Timely fulfillment of laboratory material stock requests.
  • Facilitate collection and pickup of bio-hazardous waste in accordance with federal and local regulations.
  • Distribute incoming mail/packages to appropriate departments.
  • Handle outbound shipments via UPS, FedEx, or designated courier.
  • Arrange for inner and outer site transfer of materials, including inter-departmental, CMO’s, and other facilities.
  • Prepare and assemble manufacturing and customer service kits in accordance with BOM and SOP’s.
  • Organize and maintain materials support documentation, RMM’s, and certifications.
  • Maintain receiving and warehouse areas in an organized state and in compliance with company policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Flexible schedule required.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • High school degree, BA or BS in Supply Chain Management or Logistics preferred.
  • 2+ years relevant experience in shipping and receiving, inventory management, and ERP system.
  • Strong organizational skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills.
  • 1+ years of proven experience of managing materials under cGMP and USP guidelines.
  • Team player with a positive attitude that is willing to assist other areas of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and maintain a strong attention to detail.

Must be able to lift packages up to 50lbs, operate pallet jack, and reach shelves upon shoulder level.
