Manufacturing Engineering Tech II 

As a manufacturing engineering technician, you will be a key contributor in supporting the manufacturing equipment, processes and initiatives. You will be a key team member of the support team and work closely with production associates, engineers and other technicians to quickly and effectively address issues on the production floor, bring in new technologies, and develop new life saving medical devices.

Purpose Statement
Responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments.

Key Responsibilities

• Performs equipment setup and corrective, preventive and calibration maintenance as necessary.

• Observes and complies with all safety rules and regulations. This includes QSR and ISO Standards.

• Identifies and implements corrective actions for manufacturing related issues.

• Troubleshoots electronic, pneumatic, electrical equipment and systems.

• Installs and validates new equipment and processes in the production area to improve yield and/or reduce cycle time following the established validation procedure.

• Evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment. May develop or revise documents and procedures.

• Certifies manufacturing associates in the production processes.

• Evaluates and orders necessary equipment, tools and fixtures.

Quality Systems Duties and Responsibilities:
Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.

Basic Qualifications

• AA Degree or equivalent work experience in related discipline and 1 year of related experience

• Ability to communicate effectively in a high pace work environment with many diverse audiences

• Ability to apply technical expertise and problem solving methodology to ever changing issues

• Ability to execute with little or no oversight

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to work with computer based systems (Excel, Outlook, Automation Software, etc.)

• Ability to communicate effectively via the written word (email, documents etc.)

• Experience with the following would be helpful but not required for strong candidates:
o Vision system
o Automation equipment
o Laser Welding/Cutting experience

• Medical Device industry experience helpful but not required

• Willingness to learn new systems, processes and procedures

• Experience troubleshooting electronic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
