Apex Life Sciences is looking for a qualified EDM Manufacturing Tech to fill the second shift (2PM-10:30PM) at a prominent bio-pharmaceutical company. This position will begin as a 3 month contract with strong possibility to extend into a permanent role.

EDM experience is required. 

Job Summary:

Responsibilities include set up, operating, and making tool adjustments for a variety of EDM operations. Performing tasks from work instructions, part prints, process sheets, and sketches to perform production tasks. Will primarily involve using a wire EDM to machine a variety of metals into precision components. Checks and inspects machining operations against specified tolerances and may identify and repair minor machine malfunctions. Working with the latest high-tech machines to tolerances as low as .0002.

Key Responsibilities:

•Prepares parts for machining, load programs, operate wire EDM machines, set up and operates variety of manual and automatic machines.

•Understands and is committed to abiding by the Quality Policy goals and objectives.

•Performs preventative maintenance tasks on machines.

•Assume responsibility for the quality, workmanship, dimensional accuracy and prioritize daily activities to meet all due dates.

•Perform general maintenance of machine shop machines/EDM machines and the housekeeping to ensure a clean, organized and safe environment.Quality System Requirements:

•In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.

•Assures that appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained in order to assure Quality System compliance and adherence to the BSC Quality Policy.

•Establishes and promotes a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System.

*Minimum Requirements*:

•AA Degree or equivalent work experience in related discipline.

• 1+ years of related wire EDM setup and operating experience.

•Experience in high precision wire EDM operation and solid understanding of EDM machines in the manufacturing industry.

•Ability to handle work related demands in a professional, timely and courteous manner.
