Job Description

Apex Life Sciences is looking for a Manufacturing Manager for a client near Manchester, NH!! This is a permanent position!!


  • Ensure safe working environment by collaborating with EHS to proactively promote safety policies and practices.
  • Collaborate with QA to address deviations, perform investigations, quality elements, and implement corrective/preventive actions and be accountable for maintaining an inspection-ready operation at all times.
  • Collaborate with Operational management in track operational output measures (i.e. efficiency, yield loss, product quality, inventory accuracy, transactional accuracy), anticipating and correcting trends which would compromise achievement of financial targets.
  • Manage staff to project timelines effectively while ensuring clear and concise communication to operations management.
  • Ensures that all operations of the device/drug/product areas are being performed in accordance with cGMP and current regulatory guidelines as well as all applicable SOPs.
  • Directly participate in Regulatory and Quality inspections that occur on the production floor.
  • Supports the production schedule to meet requirements for staffing, work schedules, planning activities, and equipment maintenance.
  • Directs personnel to complete and review all associated batch record and SOP documentation.
  • Author, review/approve investigation, and completion of quality systems reports.
  • Ensure training of operators on Good Manufacturing Practices for product formulation, preparation of materials/products, aseptic technique, contamination control, gowning, labeling and packaging.


  • BS in Life Sciences, Engineering, Business with 5 years industry experience in an cGMP pharmaceutical or medical device commercial manufacturing environment in Supervisor or Lead role
  • MS/MBA with 3-6 years industry experience cGMP pharmaceutical or medical device commercial manufacturing environment in a supervisory or lead role
  • Experience with visual management, project management excellence, VSA & Kaizen, 5S and 6S
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems are a plus
  • Working knowledge of pharmaceutical/medical facilities, lyophilization technology and manufacturing equipment, as well as ISO cleanrooms. Proven aseptic process experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills are a plus
