Maintenance Coordinator

Job Function:

Leads and coordinates maintenance activates of Maintenance Technicians while serving as main contact with production and other departments to assure that maintenance tasks are prioritized and completed satisfactorily.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize maintenance tasks and assignments through Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Manager.
  • Utilize micromain to schedule preventive maintenance and work orders. As well as keep a running log of all given assignments.
  • Lead Maintenance Technicians in repairs.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with maintenance employees by assigning PM’s, work orders, and other duties as needed.
  • Lead and purchase in layout and methodology for inventory control. Issue purchase orders to maintain acceptable inventory of parts within budget. Works with and canvases vendors for repair parts and supplies at reasonable, best price, and availability.
  • Coordinate to assure correct spare parts are available for plant machinery maintenance and planned PM activity. Maintain accurate inventories in management system micromain.
  • Review purchase orders to ensure accurate delivery of goods.
  • Keep a log book of all ordered parts and expected delivery dates using PO training form.
  • Participate in all safety programs as needed for the department, including but not limited to lock out/tag out, confined space entry, PSM?PHA, and MSDS for material used in maintenance activities.
  • Maintain library of Maintenance and Operator Manuals for all machinery; and systems in plant.
  • Maintain files for machinery and ancillary plant equipment, including machine history.
  • Track analyze, and improve as needed Preventative Maintenance activities.
  • Receive and distribute inbound deliveries accordingly.
  • Serve as point of contact to answer internal customer questions and/ or concerns in reference to parts/stockroom.
  • Assist in maintaining a neat and orderly environment in all maintenance/electrical areas.
  • Assist in assuring that all items are properly checked out of the stockroom and recorded as necessary.
  • Prepare and distribute department information to leadership as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor and/ or management.

Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum high school diploma with higher education or certification preferred.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • General Knowledge of plumbing, welding, electrical troubleshooting, ammonia refrigeration, boilers, and water filtration.
  • Ability to work and develop in a fast paced environment while managing stress.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Self-starter.
  • Multitasked.

SQF Requirements/Responsibilities:

  • Support SQF by maintaining food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner.
  • Report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
