Job Description

Apex Life Sciences is seeking a Maintenance Clerk/Tool Crib Attendant for a food production company in Greensboro, NC!

Job Summary: 
With safety, efficiency and customer service a priority, the Maintenance Clerk is accountable to facilitate the receiving and storing, moving and shipping of maintenance supplies, stock and materials, and effectively manage inventories and discrepancies between the physical and system inventories. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Examine production equipment to identify necessary parts to procure 
  • Adhere to shipping/receiving and regulatory-compliance procedures. 
  • Comply with laws, regulations and standards
  • Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with those on your team, as well as cross- functionally. 
  • Sort, order, and track inventory of all maintenance parts and required tools
  • Perform any and all other duties as instructed by the Logistics Manager, Production Supervisor, Maintenance Superintendent, VP of Ops (or designee), or any other management staff. 

Job Requirements: 

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work as team member and meet assigned deadlines. 
  • Work comfortably in a fast paced environment. 
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision. 
  • Follow safety standards in working with multiple services, tools, and equipment. 
  • Strong organizational skills required
  • Ability to interact with customers on a frequent basis
  • Strong computer skills specifically excel required

Job Qualifications:

  • Mechanical experience required
  • Mechanical experience in the food industry preferred
  • Past experience ordering, sorting, and tracking inventory a plus
