We are currently seeking Machine Operators with interest in joining a manufacturing team focused on the successful operation of a cutting edge extrusion process and a novel converting process.  The Machine Operator is for overseeing staffing agency line operators by ensuring production goals are met in a safe and timely manner.

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Act as a leader to staffing agency line operators by demonstrating proper techniques and adherence to safety rules including executing a safe and controlled stop in the event of a major process upset.
  • Assist Engineer in day-to-day planning of both extruder and converter machine operations and fulfilling schedules including, but not limited to, monitoring hourly production levels, correcting quality and note deviations as well as recording raw material levels and consumption, and ensuring area cleanliness.
  • Execute and verify settings and tooling during changeovers from one recipe to another.

Experience: 

  • Minimum of 6 months of manufacturing experience.
  • Prior lead/supervisory experience a must.
  • Material handling or quality assurance experience preferred.

Education:   

  • High school or GED preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Ability to work rotating shifts.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with others and as part of a team.
  • Able to wear PPE (for example, safety glasses, ears plugs, closed toed shoes, respirator and overalls) for extended periods.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Able to reach, bend, kneel and climb while performing repetitive tasks
  • Ability to communicate effectively with line operators as well as employees not only in manufacturing services, but operators.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
