Job Description

Position: LCMS Analyst

Location: Indianapolis, IN.

Hours: 1st shift, M-F (7-3:30)


Apex Life Sciences is searching for a LCMS Analyst for 1st shift, full time contract to hire opportunity for a company in the Pharmaceutical industry. This position will be responsible for performing extractions for various analyses on LC-MS/MS systems. This is a great opportunity for mid-level candidates looking to take the next step in their careers with a well-known company in the Pharmaceutical industry.


  • Perform instrument maintenance (UPLC and MS) and document of LC-MS/MS systems and GC-MS systems
  • Operate samples handlers (Tecan/TomTec) to assist with extractions.
  • Review and edit departmental SOPs.
  • Perform LC-MS/MS instrument/assay troubleshooting
  • Prepare calibrators, QC and standards as outlined in each analyte SOP.
  • Assist with proficiency testing
  • Use Analyst software program to setup runs and process data.
  • Review and monitor QC and enter results in QC program and evaluate for acceptability. Troubleshoot as needed.
  • Administrate inventory appropriately
  • Document all reagent preparation and receipt


  • A Bachelors degree in a science related field is required, but not required. Biology and Chemistry majors are encouraged to apply.
  • 1-2 years of experience working with LC-MS/MS
  • Performing extractions for LC-MS
  • Hands on experience operating LC-MS
  • Experience analyzing data from LC-MS
