Job Description

Position Summary:

The Therapeutic Laboratory Technician position is responsible for performing oligonucleotide therapeutic manufacturing activities in compliance with company procedures and external regulatory requirements as directed by the departmental supervisor, manager or director.


  • Perform manufacturing activities according to written batch records, as directed by the departmental supervisor, manager or director.
  • Maintain batch records, equipment logs and other production records as directed per company procedures.
  • Maintain a clean an orderly laboratory environment in compliance with safety regulations and internal GMP SOP
  • Perform routine maintenance of equipment used in manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with other internal groups to assist in the transfer of production methods
  • Assist in the synthesis, purification, ultrafiltration, and freeze-dry of oligonucleotides.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as on teams
  • Professional presence and strong attention to detail is required
  • Technical proficiency that enables effective execution of documented procedures
  • Demonstrated experience with common computer software packages (Windows, MS Office, etc.)
  • Able to multi-task work in a fast paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
  • Strong communication and problem solving abilities are necessary.


  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Biochemistry, Biological/Life Sciences, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work-experience.
  • Must have at minimum 1 year of practical experience working in an organic or bioprocess laboratory.
  • Some instrumentation (e.g. DNA synthesizer, HPLC, UV-Vis) experience or knowledge preferred.
  • Experience working in a GMP environment is preferred, but not required
