Job Description


Job Overview: A lab manager who has experience in lab, equipment, and reagents management. The position will work in operational capacity, interacting internally and externally. 

Responsibilities and Duties:
1.    Oversee/supervise routine lab operations to ensure work flow and compliance with regulations
2.    Train, supervise or arrange trainings, including but not limited safety, equipment use and procedures (SOPs and protocols)
3.    Coordinate with lab safety officers to ensure correct use of labs
4.    Ensure employees follow industrial standards and safety regulations
5.    Manage purchasing and maintenance of lab equipment and supplies
6.    Coordinate with Operation team for facility maintenance and improvement
7.    Support other departments as needed
8.    Maintain equipment setup, generate IQ/OQ/PQ report, calibration and maintenance.
9.    Conduct lab environmental monitoring for safety and compliance including daily temperature monitoring of equipment and lab
10.    Manage lab safety including hazardous waste management
11.    Organize and lead safety committee meetings once a quarter; train safety committee members as needed
Qualifications:
1.    BA/BS in biological sciences
2.    Minimum of 3 years relevant lab and equipment use and maintenance experience 
3.    Industrial experience, ISO or GXP environment a plus
4.    Effective verbal and written communication skills
5.    Repetitive use of hands. Ability to work in the wet molecular and cell biology lab and animal facility. Ability to process different biohazard materials. Manage lab chemical hygiene, hazard waste handling, bloodborne pathogens, medical waste handling. Ability to sit and stand at computer for long periods of time
