Job Description


Performs all paperwork, technical, and non-technical procedures required to process and submit samples. Assigns specific computer-generated identification numbers, checks for accuracy, and records all items processed. Distributes the accessioned samples internally and externally to designated laboratory location(s). Locates and corrects any discrepancies in sample submission. Learns and keeps familiar with lab procedures and location of stored products/samples. Locates products/samples and pulls from various departments as requested.

Essential Functions:  

The essential functions of this position include, but are not necessarily limited to, those specifically identified in this description.  The Company may, at its sole discretion, add to, change, or expand the essential or marginal functions of this position. 

  • Maintaining a safe laboratory environment by ensuring compliance to environmental health and safety requirements
  • Maintaining detailed, timely, and accurate records of all incoming materials, daily test results and outgoing shipments using the in-house tracking system
  • Logging and categorizing incoming samples and distributing accessioned samples within the laboratory
  • Taking ownership external sampling (including shipping, logging, follow up, C of A and internal status updates). Ensure the organization of data generated by internal and external laboratory.
  • Meeting adequate laboratory turnaround time by tracking sample residence time
  • Assisting other laboratory personnel with routine analysis (e.g. allergen testing, FTIR, pH, Bulk density, etc) as needed and other tasks such as cleaning laboratory glassware, countertops, preparing buffers etc.
  • Communicating to Lab Manager and QA personnel, when results are out of specifications

  • Experience working in a cGMP manufacturing environment
  • Strong technical aptitude and the ability to analyze, interpret, and communicate results.
  • Hands on experience and technical knowledge of lab equipment preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet rigid deadlines.
  • Ability to complete complex assignments requiring ingenuity, originality and resourcefulness
  • Exceptional interpersonal, collaboration, and influence skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional data management and information processing abilities
  • Capability to understand directives and execute work as per set plans
  • Detail oriented and quality conscious individual
  • Ability to perform quality work under time constraints
  • Competent in working with several MS office applications, Adobe Acrobat and the common Data management software
  • Familiarity with test requirements of raw materials and finish products
  • Must be dedicated to customer service, consistently demonstrating a positive attitude in response to internal and external customer requests and communications.


  • Bachelor Degree in Science (Chemistry, Biology or similar)

1 year Lab experience preferred
