Position Summary:

Employed as Analyst, this position is primarily responsible for performing laboratory analysis on samples received from outside customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understands and follows all written procedures that apply to the function of the position.
  • Understands and follows all procedures and processes required for work performed under Regulatory Compliance (i.e. GxP, FDA/GLP and GCP, OECD, CLIA, etc.) and attends annual GLP training.
  • Prepares chemical solutions for use in processing and testing samples following standardized formulas or standard operating procedures.
  • Tests and analyzes samples for CLIA, GxP, or Research.
  • Documents results of test samples that include calculating the data and repeating analysis.
  • Reads and reviews all new SOP’s and maintains SOP Training file and employee training file.
  • Maintains a current inventory of all analytical reagents.
  • Routinely checks inventory database for reagents that are reaching their minimum limit or expiring, then determines amount of reagents needed for test methods.
  • Prepares or orders analytical reagents as necessary to perform the analyses. 
  • Performs qualification and re-qualification of reagents, as necessary.
  • Ensures current lot of material is archived when new materials are entered into inventory.
  • Helps maintain assigned laboratory equipment.
  • Ensures laboratory trash/expired reagents are disposed of properly.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience in cell-based assays: ELISA, EIA, RIA
  • Experience in flow cytometry methods
  • Experience with lab automation platforms
  • Experience in supporting antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) methods
  • Experience in antibody conjugation procedures.
  • Experience in GLP/cGMP Lab

Education/Experience (BMQ):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a science related field from a four-year college or university and no experience to one year experience or an Associate’s Degree with equivalent combination of education and experience.
