Job Description

Apex Life Sciences is looking for an Inventory Associate!


  • Responsibilities will include monitoring inventory levels of both inventory and consumable items for all departments
  • Submit and track purchase orders in appropriate purchasing system (COUPA, Microsoft Dynamics AX, or internal system)
  • Receive orders in appropriate systems and maintain accurate documentation
  • Receive Accounts Payable invoices, preform three-way matching, code invoices and submit to staff accountant for payment
  • Provide support to all departments in cost management, acquisition of materials and stocking
  • Manage vendors, materials, item numbers, pricing and other specifications
  • Receives shipments of samples for testing and completes required documentation with appropriate accountability and tracking
  • Supports internal and external communication regarding handling and shipping of samples
  • Applies and demonstrates proficiency in ERP and LIMS programs, to include inventory management and compound management applications
  • Preparation, packaging, and shipping of outgoing samples, supplies and products Support shipping vendors and import/export requirements through provision of required documentation and communication in accordance with IATA and DOT regulations
  • Support EHS; manage waste stream inventory and disposal
  • Other related duties as business needs arise

Education/Experience (BMQ):

  • Associate degree preferably in biological sciences
  • 1-5 years’ experience in inventory management and / or procurement
  • Authorization to work in the U.S> indefinitely without registration or sponsorship

Additional Preferences

  • 1 year experience in accounts payable
  • 1 year experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX and / or Coupa
  • Experience with Business ERP Systems (SAP, Oracle)
