Job Summary

This position is responsible for the inventory control, shipping and receiving, and equipment maintenance.

General Responsibilities

(but not limited to)

  • Responsible for the accurate documentation of receiving activities according to company Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Responsible for the installation, calibration and maintenance of lab equipment.
  • Responsible for keeping the cleanliness of the laboratories.
  • Assist Inventory Control Manager in monitoring and maintaining current inventory levels; processes purchasing orders as required; tracks orders and investigates problems.
  • Provide up to date, real-time updates of all inventory levels when requested.
  • Assist with physical inventory tracking and reconciliation of quarantine and approved material to computer-generated reports.
  • Assist with shipping of products as needed.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Required Education

  • High School Diploma
  • Prior shipping, receiving, equipment maintenance experience

Qualification & Work Experience Requirement

  • Proficient in use of various shipping carrier software (UPS, FedEx).
  • Proficient in MS Office and inventory data management system.
  • May be exposed to biohazard materials such as animal and human blood, urine, saliva, feces and various tissues.
  • Able to work with basic tools in maintenance of equipment, lab and storage facility.
  • Strong organizational, time management, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task skills.

Safety Requirements

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Lab Chemical Hygiene, Hazard Waster Handling, Bloodborne Pathogen, Medical Waste Handling.
