Job Description


Our Client is seeking a human factors engineer to assist in perception science research and product development. The prospective candidate will assist in quantitative and qualitative research efforts to assess user perception and performance.

Position Duties:
1. Conduct and run perception science and human factors experiments
2. Collect and run laboratory equipment designed to assess the perceptual attributes of materials and products
3. Analyze and report key experimental findings

Basic Qualifications:
• Working on a bachelors degree or higher from an accredited university in Experimental Psychology (human perception emphasis), Cognitive Neuroscience (human perception emphasis), Cognitive Psychology (human perception emphasis), Kinesiology (biomechanics emphasis), Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (emphasis on usability engineering) or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Completion of bachelors degree or higher in Cognitive Neuroscience, Cognitive Psychology, Kinesiology, Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
• Proven experience with techniques in qualitative and quantitative research
• Strong background in statistics
• Experience providing, communicating and tracking usability/perception metrics
• Excellent written and oral communication skills


Soft Skills:
• Demonstrates the ability to work well in teams

Core Hours:
9 am- 4 pm


















































Minimal work direction needed, highly skilled and knowledgeable to the position and provides best practicing sharing within work group. Worker to assume leadership of technical programs of major importance to division/staff interests involving scientific research/ understanding, applied technology, and product or process innovations. Worker will maintain a flow of major technical contributions such as material/product/process innovations and understandings and will document and communicate these via Records of Invention, patents, internal reports, technical presentations and/or publications. Worker usually reports to a supervisor or manager. Duties and responsibilities include Identifying, planning, recommending and completing technical programs leading to innovative applications and extensions of existing and new technologies having major importance to division/staff business. Establish extensive intra-divisional interactions and initiate inter-divisional interactions to develop a network of support (technical, manufacturing, engineering, sales and marketing) to facilitate completion of programs. May participate in technical strategic planning. Document experimental data/observations in technical notebooks (or approved electronic files), prepare reports, and make oral presentation. May also be required to provide technical supervision/management of other contingent technical workers.
