Help Desk Associate needed!!! APEX LIFE SCIENCES is looking for a 1st Shift Associate near Strongsville, OH! 

Description:

Job Function:

  • The function of the Help Desk Analyst is to assist the company and Refinish customers with support for the company's proprietary software, Microsoft Windows operating system software, computer hardware, computer peripherals and basic computer networking.
  • Customer Support is accomplished primarily by staffing and answering phone calls plus using remote support tools to connect into customer computers.
  • Calls are to be handled in a timely fashion and escalated as needed for the timeliest resolution.
  • Additional mission related responsibilities will be assigned as required.

Responsibilities:

Help Desk:

  • Provide phone coverage for 30-40 calls a day, but not limited to that number
  • Master the company's proprietary software
  • Assist other help desk team members in resolving hardware and software customer issues as needed
  • Respond to customer questions and, or, concerns regarding the company or its vendor equipment policies
  • Update internal records in an efficient, effective and timely fashion
  • Build, and or, configure computers
  • Physically possess the ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Assist with special projects as assigned
  • Assist in other department related tasks as needed

Logistics:

  • Support monthly inventory control on a rotating basis if necessary
  • Aid in resolving order, shipping, receiving, and customer issues as it relates to the Help Desks support of computer related equipment

Requires: 

  • A Bachelors Degree in Business or Computer Science; OR equivalent work experience if preferred.
  • 2-4 years experience using Microsoft Office Suite of products, especially Excel and Word, plus working with Operating System platforms (including Windows 8, 7, and XP).
  • Microsoft certifications are a strong plus along with A+ or Network +.
  • Effective analytical abilities and technical skills to isolate problems, fix immediate needs and offer long term solutions based on root cause analysis
  • Excellent organizational skills
