Growing company in the east valley looking to expand their staff due to growth!  Vibrant team who works well together and with other departments to make quality products with set production schedules.  Come join the positive working atmosphere and expand your skills. This is a day shift position with hours that may vary a little based on production needs, working Tuesday - Saturday once trained.

Field Operator (biological products)

Basic Function:  The Field Manufacturing Operator is responsible for safely, effectively and efficiently executing run plans, fully following SOP’s, operating lab equipment and test stands, and keeping detailed records.  They will work closely with engineers and scientists to understand the run plans and execute while complying with all of company’s safety standards. The Field Operator will also be responsible for areas of production areas including inoculations, harvesting, and downstream production of cultures.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties may include but are not limited to:

  1. Sampling
    1. Obtain samples from reactors for analysis
    2. Calibrate lab and field probes to ensure proper function.
    3. Measure pH and temperature of reactors.
    4. Qualitative and quantitative monitoring of operational systems
  2. Data Entry
  • Input all necessary data values regarding various duties
  • Maintain a log of activities
  1. Operator Duties
  • Harvest, clean, and fill large reactors
  • Adjust control points to reach targeted set points.
  • Assist in daily processing areas
  • Complete daily tasks efficiently and in a timely manner
  • Learn normal operations and be able to report any variances
  • Maintain a safe site
  • Employ technical understanding to perceive and solve problems and propose potential process improvements.
  • Operate various unit operations including but not limited to centrifuges, dryer, and filtration devices.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required.  AAS degree a plus
  • Background in Construction, Manufacturing or Biology preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office including:
    • Microsoft Word
    • Microsoft Excel
  • Sterile Technique needed - will train this very important skill and attention to detail
