Job Description


Apex Life Sciences has an immediate permanent opening for a Facilities Support Technician.  You would assist in providing record management support for the management of multiple facilities and thousands of pieces of facility related and medical equipment (nationwide) within the organization. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; data entry and records management utilizing SAP, providing HelpDesk support, shipping and receiving. 

You would be expected to perform all tasks assigned to you, including but not limited to:

  • Creates and maintains electronic files for master equipment records associated with equipment tracking database, biohazard waste manifests, leases, service agreements and invoices. Maintains multiple numbering logs for various equipment (freezers, refrigerators, etc.).
  • Checks in all new equipment according to procedure and ensures all documentation is completed and received, ensures equipment is entered in tracking database and new electronic file is created.
  • Performs data entry of all equipment repairs, PMs and calibrations and work orders as necessary.
  • Prepares and ships equipment to include RMA#, correspondence letter, packaging and tracking.
  • Assists in the development of SOPs and Work Instructions and ensures staff compliance to same as well as all applicable Our Client's policies.
  • Provides HelpDesk support as required.


Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma, or GED
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Minimum of 1 years’ records management and/or other critical records
  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience working with vendors
  • Strong Adobe Pro Skills - Must be able to create pdf’s, append and add/create watermarks and create forms
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite- All aspects
  • Organizational Skills - Must be able to organize and prioritize on a daily basis based on current needs
  • Communication Skills - Demonstrated strong verbal & written communication skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of at least 1 regulatory agency (ie. OSHA, ISO, FDA)
  • Must be able to understand PO process, reconcile invoices prior to payment
  • Ability to understand and carry out moderately complex oral and written instructions
  • Demonstrated Knowledge of shipping and receiving (UPS, FedEx, 3rd party carriers)

Preferred:

  • 1 year of experience Scheduling of PM and Calibration of equipment
  • 1 year of experience scheduling vendors
  • Working knowledge of SAP database
  • Knowledge of FDA inspections
  • Accounting Skills - General knowledge of chart of accounts
