Apex Life Sciences is looking for a skilled Facilities Specialist/Technician for a large medical device company in Irvine, CA area!

We are looking for someone with some customer service experience and general maintenance background

This is a year long contract and a great way to get industry experience

*Position Summary

The Facilities Technician is a non-exempt position and reporting to the Facilities Manager. The work day schedule is from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Tuesday thru Friday and 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Saturday with an after-hours on-call rotation between the department technicians.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• The Facilities Technician provides customers with the best customer service possible and finds answers to customer questions and concerns in an efficient manner.
• Directly responsible for completing assigned Work Orders utilizing a computer by prioritizing tasks; Prepare and submit a summary report for each completed Work Order in the System.
• Complies with all safety procedures and requirements; wears proper PPE during repairs.
• Inspect all company spaces daily to identify problems with mechanical failure or breakdowns
• Repairs commercial plumbing and mechanical system, paints and patches areas as required; conducts only basic electrical maintenance.
• Test performance and minor repairs of break-room equipment such as refrigerators, microwaves, coffee machines, ice-maker, etc.
• Key team member of ongoing preventive maintenance program and conducts tasks such us; air filters exchange, motors lubrications, etc.
• Working knowledge of audio, video, control, and communications systems are required
• Maintain compliance with City, County, State, and Government ordinances and codes
• Supports any after-hours building needs and activities as required;
• Works overtime as needed based on the company’s needs.
• Responds to after-hours emergencies as per rotation schedule.
• Attend training sessions as needed
• Other assigned tasks or requests outside of this traditional role.*

*Education Required: HS diploma, trade certification is a plus
