Job Description

Apex Life Sciences is currently searching for a Engineering Technician for a large Medical Device company in Northern Illinois . The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and at least three years of experience in a related role.


? Experience in a laboratory environment or manufacture of a technical product, familiarity with GMP/GLP. Proficient use of laboratory equipment and tools.
? Basic knowledge of FDA, GMP, and ISO 9000/9001 principles. 
? Intermediate working knowledge of computers, math and electronic designs. 
? Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and Word. 
? Basic understanding of documentation systems. 
? Inermediate written and verbal communication skills. 
? Must be able to read and understand blueprints, as well as engineering handbooks. 
? Solid understanding of and capability of debugging electronic printed circuit boards. 
? Intermediate skill in soldering, both surface mount and thru-hole. 
? Intermediate ability to work in groups with other engineers. 
? Moderate science and/or math skills. 
? Ability to perform moderate statistical analysis and make recommendations to engineers. 
? Advanced ability to handle a few assignments with some supervision to ensure customer needs are met. 
? Ability to lead 1-2 team members simultaneously covering multiple assignments, demonstrating leadership capabilities on a regular basis. 
? Detail-oriented and able to think critically about possible solutions to problems. 
? Demonstrate intermediate skills in test method development, test fixture design and development, data analysis and report writing. 
? Capable of holding strict confidentiality and discretion. 
? Demonstrates expertise in particular functional area.
