Job Description


Apex Life Sciences is actively seeking for an Electrical Engineer to work at our client site in the medical device industry. The main focus of this position is responsible for supporting higher level Engineers. Under general supervision the Electrical Engineer establishes and directs manufacturing practices, processes, procedures, facilities, tolls and ATE equipment for production.

Experience:1-3 yrs related educational and manufacturing experience. Manufacturing/Industrial, Electronics, or Bio-Medical Engineering degreed professional 

Summary: 
This position utilizes “lean manufacturing” principles to minimize inventory, maximize throughput, and optimize facility and equipment utilization.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Assisted in the implementation of manufacturing plans, work instructions and processes
  • Modified or improved manufacturing documentation to increase production efficiency
  • Assisted in process improvements, validation efforts (IQ, OQ, PQ)
  • Ideal Skills: Soldering, Circuit Design\Analysis, Assembly (PCB\Cable), Troubleshooting, DFMEA\PFMEA
  • Equipment knowledge: Multimeter, Oscilloscope, Network Analyzers, Function Generators.
  • SAP, LabView, MS Access Databases not required, but preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 

  • Proven, strong leadership skills. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to build highly effective teams. 
  • Ability to work in a cross functional environment, gaining consensus and cooperation. 
  • Ability to make decisions under pressure and on tight time lines. 
  • Continuous improvement driven. 
  • Previous experience with lean manufacturing principles and cellular based manufacturing. 
  • Knowledge of MS Office, SAP\ERP Systems and Access data basing applications. LabView use a plus.
