Our Client in Pleasanton, CA is seeking a qualified EH&S Site Specialist for their new site in Pleasanton. For this role, hours will be flexible but a candidate is expected to be onsite 5 days a week in Pleasanton. This position is contracted to the end of 2018 with the intent to convert in Q1 2019.

Here are the responsibilities for the position.

  • Development and rollout of essential programs and solutions including the following:
  • Biological Safety
  • Laboratory Health and Safety Plan
  • Ergonomics Self-Assessment Tool
  • Safety Data Sheet (SDS) Management
  • Decontamination¬†
  • Industrial Hygiene
  • Toxicological Assessment
  • New hire training
  • Air Quality Management
  • Hazard Communication Program, including how Safety Data Sheets are kept and updated
  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 300/301 Forms
  • Chemical Hygiene Plan for laboratories, including training records
  • Injury and Illness Prevention Program, including inspection records and corrective actions
  • Ergonomics Review Records
  • Industrial Hygiene Records, including employee notifications of results
  • Exhaust Ventilation Monitoring Program
  • Lock-Out/Tag-Out Program, including equipment-specific procedures and annual audit inspection records
  • Electrical Safety Program, including qualified electrical worker documentation and training
  • Bloodborne Pathogens Program
  • Contractor Safety Program
  • Chemical Procurement Procedures
